we have earned our fisrt point of the season and scored our first

United got our first three points of the season today as we beat
St Johnstone 3-1 at home. Goals from McKeown, Prunty and Twigg
gave us the three points.

Airdrie
United lost to Dundee after a penalty shoot out.
Dundee opened the scoring through Scott Robertson on 36 minutes,
Brian McPhee brought the game level after he scored from a David
Dunn cross on 52 minutes.

After
our defeat in the Challenge Cup our second visit to Dens Park
held some fear, but once again Airdrie United rise to the occasion
and come home with all three points.

United were out played today in the battle for three points against
a Clyde team that simply out paced out tackled and out thought
us at every opportunity.

After
we were slaughtered last week, by Clyde the Airdrie United team
had to put on a stronger braver performance for this our rescheduled
game against Ross County in Dingwall.
Goals from Gary Twigg and Willie McLaren gave us a point against
the top of the league side.

Airdrie
United were defeated by bottom of the League Queen of the South,
in a lack lustre display that saw us once again defeated by a
team below us in the league.

Prunty scored the only goal in our match today against Stranraer.
The three points moves us back in to seventh place above todays
rivals.

a fantastic home performance Airdrie United cruised to a 4-0 win
over Dundee.
Goals
from Brian McPhee x 2, Stephen McKeown and Martin Hardie gave
us our second home win and second shut out in two weeks.

an evenly matched game it took the skill of Jason Scotland to
sepearate the two teams.

United brought our unbeaten home record up too three in a row
this weekend after we fought for a draw in a match that saw both
teams lose the lead.

United were forced to put in a backs against the wall display
to take a point from the league leaders.
Our
goal came from Stephen McKeown through a penalty gained when Brian
Prunty was brought down in the box.

United continued our good form on the park and devastated Queen
of the South 4 - 0.

from McLaren, Prunty and a McPhee double gave us our second 4

Another
game of two halves sees Airdrie United through Stephen McKeown
take and old on to the lead in the first half. Only to see it
thrown away in the second as Martin Hardie is red carded and the
resulting free kick finds the back of the net.

Airdrie
United went on a five goal second half rampage to give us a fantastic
home win over Brechin City.
A
1 -0 lead at half time on a cold day in Decmeber was not much
to inspire the fans who ventured to the Excelsiour Stadium but
when Brian Prunty scored his second just after the half time break
Airdrie United switched on and dominated.

A
half time revolution sees Airdrie United pick up all three points
in a match we looked destined to lose.
Thanks
to a Brian Prunty hat-trick he picks up the match ball and secures
all three points.

Stewart once again leads the Diamonds to another victory over
his St Johnstone counterpart and close friend Owen Coyle
Two
goals in the first half gave us the win, the first a Penalty from
Stephen McKoewn and the second a well worked goal from Willie
McLaren.

United's six game unbeaten run came to a crashing halt today in
a dire affair at New Douglas Park.
A
single goal by Hamilton's Mark McLaughlin was the difference between
the two teams.

United travelled to Dunfermline in the third round of the Scottish
Cup hoping to put on a good show and earn some respect from our
Scottish Premier League Opponents.

United continued to disappoint at Palmerston Park as goals from
John O'Dill and Paul Burns gave the Dumfries side only their second
win of the season.

Airdrie
United and Dundee played out a thrilling match that ended 1-1.
Today's match had everything from dis-allowed penalties, shots
that came of the cross bar and two goals from two up and coming
starlets.
In
the first half it was Dundee's 17 year Brian Deasley who opened
the scoring and Airdrie's very own Willie McLaren who saved our
blushes and scored the equaliser.

City 0 Vs 0 Airdrie United. (11/02/06)
In
a dull affair at Glebe Park both Brechin and Airdrie United left
with a single point.
There
were very few flashes of magic from either side and a share of
the points was probably fair. |
Dundee
2 Vs 0 Airdrie United (14/02/06)
Scottish Cup 4th round Replay
Airdrie
United went out of the Scottish Cup tonight with a whimper.
The
record books have been re-written at Airdrie United before tonight
as we finally made it by the third round of a major competition,
but that will not make anyone feel any better about the cup exit.
An
early goal from Bryan Deesley open the scoring and athough Airdrie
United huffed and puffed we offered very little going forward.

secured their quarter final place and a match against Hamilton
on 71 minutes with a goal from Simon Lynch. |

on league business today, Airdrie United welcomed Ross County
to the Excelsior stadium.

United travelled to Perth and came away with a point. With an
early lead supplied by Gary Twigg and Paul Lovering we were unfortunate
not to come home with all three points

In
today's training match against Dundee, Airdrie United put on a
more than professional display to embarrass a weakened Dundee
team fielded by Alan Kernaghan.
Goals from: Willie McLaren x 3, Brian McPhee, Gary Twigg x 2 and
Frazer Coyle helped devastate Dundee.

Airdrie
United battled out a nil nil draw with Hamilton today, Brian McPhee
came closest to open the scoring for Airdrie as his header bounced
of the bar in the opening minutes of the second half.

Mirren 2 Vs 1 Airdrie United.
Airdrie
United lost our final games against St Mirren this season to two
goals from John Sutton. Bryan Prunty once again popped up with
a goal that gave Airdrie United a respectable scoreline.

United also played most of the match with only 10 players when
Bryan Prunty was sent off after only thirty minutes.

Airdrie
United welcome Queen of the South to the Excelsior Stadium. Our
final match against them sees the return of Brian McPhee and Stephen
McDougall for selection.
Stephen
has recovered from his concussion suffered at St Mirren a few
weeks ago and Brian returns from his suspension in the same match. |

Airdrie
United secured first division football today with a 1- 1 draw
against Queen of the South, Garry Twigg scored our goal early
in the first half and although we had the opportunity were unabale
to push on and win the match.

United 3 Vs 0 Stranraer (15/04/06)
Airdrie
United jumped to sixth in the Scottish First Division after comfortably
beating Stranraer by three goals.
The
first came from Willie McLaren after Greame Holmes sent him sprintinbeyond
the Stranraer defence.
Our
second and third came in the second half, Brian Prunty with a
fantastic shot from outside the penalty box, and the Kevin Barkey
made it three when Twigg and Prunty combined to leave him with
a clear shot from outside the box. |
Ross
County 0 Vs 1 Airdrie United (22/04/06)
Airdrie
United secured sixth place in the Bells First Division after a
win against our Highland opponents Ross County.
