Rocky the Rooster and Chip.

Rocky the Rooster took over for a previous mascot called Diamond Jack, after the original costume had become cheap and nasty looking.

When the kids, who the mascots are supposed to appeal too, started asking for it to be changed it was decided to base the new costume on the cockerel that sits above the town's coat of arms.

The names were chosen after a competition was held to decide and thus Rocky the Rooster and his side kick Chip were born.
