A battling performance ion the first half against Clyde, gave the Airdrie United Fans hope of another good display. Unfortunately a different team came out in the second half.

Airdrie United were slow of the blocks and Clyde were awarded a penalty and Harty made sure of it. But then Airdrie United switched on and gave the fans a fighting display goals from Hardie and Coyle put us in the lead. Unfortunately it wasn't to last and slack defending first allowed Jones and then Harty in for his second of the match giving Clyde a 3-2 lead at half time.

Airdrie United never even made it to the starting blocks in the second half Harty made the game 4-2 with his third and the game was over as a contest.
