10 men Airdrie went down to a 2-0 defeat at Firhill.  Second half strikes from Hodge and Donnelly secured the 3 points for Thistle but the controversial 1st half sending off of Scott McLaughlin proved to be the major turning point in the game which had been relatively even until this point.

Airdries John Baird and Particks Liam Buchanan came close in the 1st half but the 10 men of Airdrie fell behind in the second period when Bryan Hodge fired home in 53 minutes with Simon Donnelly secured the win with his 67th minute strike.
